International Training Sessions (ITS) have been a core feature of LEAD Fellows Training for more than 15 years. The ITS is a cross-cultural, multi-sectoral training event which brings together diverse groups of emerging leaders from across the globe to share knowledge and experiences and to enhance the skills required to meet key sustainability challenges.
We are very proud that this year's ITS will have a special focus on climate change and leadership. Since this is an issue of growing global importance on which many Fellows are working in different capacities, LEAD has decided to make the ITS open to any LEAD Fellow and also external professionals who wishes to attend. The ITS will look, in particular, at four key issues:
Deforestation and climate change
Carbon offsetting
Adaptation
Renewable energy
We expect more than 120 Associates and staff from all LEAD Member Programmes to attend the event, and several prominent climate change specialists from different sectors will join the ITS for panel discussions.
The attendance cost for LEAD Fellows is USD1300.00 and non-LEAD members is USD2000.00. This will cover Session fees, local transport, accommodation and meals for the duration of the ITS. You will also need to meet your own travel costs.
If you are interested in participating in the ITS, please send us an expression of interest (including your passport details) to Saodat Pulatova at saodat@lead.org.
If you would like to sponsor developing country participants to attend the event, please contact:
